Today will be cool and grey with numerous low clouds and mostly overcast skies. There will also be possibility of some fog on the slopes bringing in some snow, and there was a dusting of snow in the village this morning. 


At 09:50 the temperatures were  -6.5°C at the top of Bellevarde, -7°C up on Solaise and here in town it is -3°C. Today we can expect a top of -1°C in the village.

The roads are clear of snow.

French Team
Yesterday morning, our French team trained on La Face before the Critérium in a week. Paco Rassat, Steven Amiez, Hugo Desgrippes, as well as our local
Avallon skiers Clément Noël and Victor Muffat-Jeandet, were able to train in slalom in good conditions.

Other teams, including Italy and Switzerland, were also able to train on the Face. It will be possible to admire the performance of our French team and
our Olympic champion for the 70th anniversary of the Critérium on the weekend of December 13th and 14th.


Snow Inspection
The snow inspection for the 70th anniversary of the Critérium is complete. The Men's World Cup will therefore take place on the Face de Bellevarde, as
confirmed by the Director of the Sports Club, Ingrid Jacquemod.

The snow inspection for the Women's World Cup, organized on the OK piste on December 20th and 21st, will take place tomorrow, ten days before the first
official training run.


Telethon
The 39th edition of the Telethon is being held today. The Val d’Isère Firefighter's Association is participating in this wonderful two-day event
with a stand in the Tourist Office Square. On offer: hot drinks, crêpes, shortbread cookies, and cakes made during the week by the elementary school and senior citizens, as well as Téléthon merchandise. All proceeds will be donated to the Téléthon association to support research. Today, the firefighters will be staffing the stand from 4 pm to 8 pm.


Téléthon Cakes for the CCAS (Community Social Action Center)
Yesterday afternoon, 10 seniors from the CCAS made around a hundred cinnamon shortbread cookies. One group prepared the dough, a second made the cookie shapes, and a third packaged the bags of about ten cookies each. The ingredients were provided by the CCAS. The bags will be sold at
the firefighter's stand for the Telethon at the end of the day for €5.


Christmas Tree
The children of the Municipal and Para-Municipal Staff Association are invited to the traditional Christmas Tree this afternoon at the Chalet des Aiglons starting at 6:00 PM. A magic show will be presented before Santa Claus arrives to give and distribute many gifts to help pass the time before
December 25th.

Transports

- Red Shuttle (La Daille – Le Fornet): first departure from La Daille at 6:10 AM
and every 10 minutes thereafter. After nightfall, departures from La Daille from
6:30 PM to 2:30 AM and from Le Fornet from 6:50 PM to 2:50 AM. A shuttle
every 20 minutes.
- Blue Shuttle (Roundabout at the slopes – Legettaz): every 15 minutes from 8:30
a.m. to 11:20 p.m.
- Yellow Shuttle (Le Coin – Le Manchet): departs Le Coin at 8:28 a.m. and arrives
at Le Manchet at 11:20 p.m. Trains run every 20 minutes.
- Purple Shuttle (Val d’Isère – Tignes): first departure from the new bus station at
7:55 a.m. and last at 6:20 p.m. Two request stops are planned on this route,
including La Reculaz and Le Villaret du Nial.
