Roads

Giant Slalom Bibs
Last night, the festivities for the 70th edition of the Critérium got off to a great start with a beautiful opening ceremony on the Olympic Avenue. A large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the world's best athletes. The traditional draw for the top 15 bibs took place. Swiss skier Thomas Tumler will start in first position, followed by Brazilian Lucas Pinheiro Braathen and Swiss skier Marco Odermatt. Flavio Vitale from Tignes will start in 26th position. Unlike last year, our champion Clément Noël will not be competing in the Giant Slalom, choosing instead to focus on the slalom event tomorrow, as he explains.
The first run of the Giant Slalom will start this morning at 9:30 a.m. on the Bellevarde slope, while the second run will take place at 1:00 p.m. The flower ceremony at the finish line will be held at 2:00 p.m. Live commentary of the World Cup event will be broadcast on our channel at 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Entertainment
This first day of the Critérium will be full of excitement, but also entertainment. The Critérium village, located at the bottom of the Face, will open at 8:30 a.m. with music from the "Funky Brass" brass band. At 9:00 a.m., the "Alpina Dancer's" cheerleaders will perform on the finish area stage, accompanied by the flag-raising display from the children of the Sports Club on the Face de Bellevarde. At 11:00 a.m., "Doc Martin's" will give a concert on the finish area stage, followed by various musical performances. In the late afternoon, at 5:45 p.m., head to the Avenue Olympique to see "Funky Brass," "Alpina Dancer's," and DJ Loran. The public will also have the opportunity to meet Dynastar and Rossignol athletes for an autograph session. The Men's Giant Slalom awards ceremony will be held on the podium at Avenue Olympique at 6:15 p.m., followed by the public draw for the Men's Slalom bibs.
Charity Evening
Last night, the Sports Club held its annual charity evening to benefit young people. It was a wonderful evening filled with emotion and camaraderie. This 5th edition raised 109,000€ Many fantastic prizes were up for grabs, including a ski helmet worn by Clément Noël, a MotoGP helmet signed by Johann Zarco, Romain Attanasio's Helly Hensen sailing gear and an IMOCA foil from the Vendée Globe, and a signed book by Jean-Claude Killy. Numerous athletes were present to chat with the 281 guests. The raffle organized by the young members of the Sports Club was also a great success.
Grand Opening
Yesterday morning, the renowned Reversade family establishment inaugurated its new culinary space at an altitude of 2,400 meters in the former arrival station of La Daille. A new gastronomic experience awaits, offering panoramic views of Mont Blanc. Three workshops will also be available for children: a chocolate workshop, a DJ workshop, and a customization workshop. A distinguished crowd was present for this grand opening, including local figures, the mayor of Val d'Isère and his elected officials, the Reversade family, as well as the architect, the mayor of Béziers, the President of the Haute-Tarantaise Community of Municipalities, and the President of the French Ski Federation.
- The Booking Center is open from 8:30 AM to 7 PM.

- The Aqua Leisure Centre is open from 10AM to 9 PM.
The refuge de solaise which has been open since the 5th of december opens its Petit refuge which is the ideal location for a mid day sweet treat break with a view of the mountains.
- Red Shuttle (La Daille - Le Fornet) first departure from La Daille at 6:10 AM
and every 10 minutes thereafter. After nightfall, departures from La Daille from
6:30 PM to 2:30 AM and from Le Fornet from 6:50 PM to 2:50 AM. A shuttle
every 20 minutes.
- Blue Shuttle (Roundabout at the slopes – Legettaz): every 15 minutes from 8:30
a.m. to 11:20 p.m.
- Yellow Shuttle (Le Coin – Le Manchet): departs Le Coin at 8:28 a.m. and arrives
at Le Manchet at 11:20 p.m. Trains run every 20 minutes.
- Purple Shuttle (Val d’Isère – Tignes): first departure from the new bus station at
7:55 a.m. and last at 6:20 p.m. Two request stops are planned on this route,
including La Reculaz and Le Villaret du Nial.
