Everything in le Fornet is open except for the Foret and Tunnel pistes.
Over on Solaise, everthing is going to open except for The Piste L  qnd the marmatons.
Please do not ski down a closed run as  they are closed for  a good reason and we have SO MANY pistes that are both open and fun.

Exciting news is that the ski patrol are working hard to open the 3000 drag lift later this week.

In the Bellevarde sector, The Santon and Epaule du Charvet will be closed all day.
Sections of the OK and Orange will be reserved for racing.
The Borsat piste may be closed for training for part of the day.

Skiing in Tignes can be accessed via the Tommeuses or Borsat chairlifts this morning.

Cross Country skiers can enjoy the tracks in the Manchet Valley, La Daille or Lac d Ouillette.

For pedestrians most of the walking paths are open
apart from the Col de l'Iseran.

The avalanche risk is 2/5 today.

If considering skiing off piste :

Always ski with at least one other person,
have the appropriate equipment
all know how to use it,
and
if in doubt
hire a guide.

Santa had a busy day yesterday. Before distributing presents to all the wise and kind children across the globe, he spent the day in Val d’Isère meeting, greeting. Sharing humour, goodwill and … chocolate.

After starting the day on the nursery slopes he left his sleigh and took the bubble to the Val Kids area on the top of Solaise.
During the afternoon he meandered around the pistes Bellevarde.
Santa was accompanied by his Right Hand Elf who made sure Santa was always in the correct place,  and collected the children’s wish lists.
Holidaymakers were delighted to meet these characters, posing for selfies and enjoying the chocolates.
A selection of these photos and videos can be seen on the Radio Val website.

In the Evening Santa Claus triumphantly drove down the Avenue Olympique in a carriage pulled by Raspberry, his elegant mare.
Hundreds of children followed until they all reached the Main square where Santa Claus took his rightful place on the Throne.
For more than an hour, he welcomed children while musical elves entertained the crowd.
Finally, Raspberry took Santa and his team on a triumphant tour of Val Village before heading off to complete their nights work,.
