Local News

Avalanche Triggering Intervention Plan (PIDA)
An avalanche triggering intervention plan (PIDA) has been underway since 6:50 a.m. across the entire ski area, conducted by the Ski Patrol (Régie des Pistes) to ensure the safety of the slopes. A helicopter PIDA may also be deployed depending on weather conditions.

Snow

Following the storm, several restrictions have been lifted. The Face road has reopened to pedestrians after the PIDA was carried out on the Face de Bellevarde. The road between Les Richardes and Le Laisinant was also opened to vehicles at midday. The Fornet and Châtelard roads remain closed to both road and pedestrian traffic until further notice. Three special shuttle convoys operated between Le Laisinant and Le Fornet throughout the afternoon to allow residents to return home. The Picheru, Abaron, and Balme roads remain closed to pedestrians. Safety guidelines around buildings remain in effect. The avalanche risk remains high due to heavy snowfall, which has accumulated to 1.5 meters over the past seven days. It is important to follow safety guidelines and avoid off-piste skiing. We will keep you informed of road openings and the lifting of restrictions.
