Christmas Treasure Hunt

The activities department is offering a Christmas-themed treasure hunt today. Participants will be tasked with helping the Christmas elf deliver the last gifts of the year. It's a fun way to discover the village's iconic landmarks by solving challenges and riddles. The treasure hunt will begin at 3:00 PM in the Tourist Office Square, with the last departure at 5:30 PM. It will last between 30 minutes and 1 hour and will be done in teams of 2 to 10 people. Please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Santa Claus STVI

If you were on the ski slopes yesterday, you may have had the chance to meet Santa Claus. The man in the red coat, accompanied by his faithful elf, delighted children and adults alike by distributing hundreds of Christmas crackers. Santa Claus was in high demand for photos and videos of the many skiers and snowboarders who flocked to the slopes thanks to the sunny weather on Christmas Eve. They explored the Madeleine, Grand Pré, and Gyapète play areas, as well as the snow front. A truly magical encounter during this Christmas season.

Santa Claus Village

After skiing all day, Santa Claus paraded down Avenue Olympique with four stilt walkers. In his carriage, accompanied by his elves, Santa distributed Christmas hats and chocolates before heading to the stage at the Tourist Office. More than 2,500 children and parents were there to meet and chat with the man in the long red coat, who was accompanied by a band. Adding to the Christmas magic, a few snowflakes fell as he arrived, bringing wonder and sparkle to the children's eyes.

Christmas Mass

Following the Christmas Eve service, two Christmas Masses will be celebrated today by Father Verny. The first Mass will be at 5:00 PM and the second at 7:00 PM in the Church of Saint-Bernard de Menthon. Please note that the Christmas carols in English, originally scheduled for 3:00 PM, have unfortunately been cancelled.

Lantern Descent

Children are invited to a lantern descent organized by the French Ski School (ESF). Supervised by ski instructors, the children will descend the Savonnette slope carrying their lanterns. Upon arrival, each participant will receive hot chocolate. The lantern descent will depart at 5:30 PM. Information and registration are available at the ESF office located in the village centre.
