Municipal Council
Yesterday morning, the April municipal council meeting was held with 18 elected officials present. Before beginning the session, the council members took note of the minutes of the March 2nd council meeting and approved the minutes of the March 20th council meeting before the mayor's decisions were read. The agenda included 20 items, notably the election of members to the Tenders Committee and the Public Service Delegation Committee, the appointment of members to the boards of directors of the Sogevaldi Company, as well as for other entities such as the Public Service Delegation for ski lifts, ski area safety, and the Sports Club. Several topics sparked lengthy debates, including the flow of skiers between Tignes and Val d'Isère, the 2030 Olympic Games, the Face à Face building (construction of which will not begin in May), and the prefectural referral concerning Mayor Xavier Mattis. The appointment of members to the Board of Directors of the mixed-economy company SACOVAL resulted in three votes against. After the agenda was completed, the majority's position regarding the opposition within the committees was requested. The full minutes of the municipal council meeting will be available on our website later today. The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 27, at 8:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber at the Maison Marcel Charvin.
