Pelican Survey

The Pelican Association needs your feedback. After offering various initiatives to prevent risky behaviors related to tobacco, alcohol, and drug use, as well as providing harm reduction materials and screening for sexually transmitted infections, the association is conducting another survey among seasonal workers to prepare for the upcoming season. The eight-question questionnaire is anonymous and confidential and will help identify areas for improvement and gather feedback on the various initiatives implemented.

Campus Association Training

Notice to associations: A free training session is being offered today at the Alpine Campus. This training is for all associations in the region and focuses on the topic of organizational responsibility. The objective is to separate the responsibility of the association from that of its leaders. The training is offered by PSA Savoie, which has been supporting associations in Savoie for 30 years. The session will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Alpine Campus in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

Loyalty Medal

Three new loyalty medals were awarded on Thursday. Martin Hurel received the silver medal for his 30 years of loyalty from his godmother, Frédérique Moris. He first discovered Val d'Isère while skiing from Tignes with friends and has been staying at the same hotel with his family for over 20 years. Martin Hurel recalled an international race he was able to experience, even though he was unaware that the event was being held in Val d'Isère when he first visited.

Françoise Baigts-Sérog received the gold medal for her 64 years of loyalty from her godmother, Rose Marie Culet. Considering herself a woman of the plains, Françoise discovered the mountains thanks to her godmother's father, Armand Culet, a high-mountain guide and ski instructor.

Her husband, Patrick Sérog, was awarded the Grand Gold Medal for his 60 years of loyalty by his godmother, Rose Marie Culet. According to him, Val d'Isère is the best resort to learn to ski. He has been coming since he was 5 years old thanks to his father and has many fond memories, as he told us.

Since then, four generations have shared the passion for the resort, and their children have even participated in the Mattis Ski Camp. The final loyalty medal ceremony will take place tomorrow at 6 p.m.
