Last night, the annual general meeting of the Vie Val d’Is association was held, attended by around twenty people, including the mayor, his deputy mayor, an elected official, and the town's director of services. Association President Steven Le Briquir began by presenting his report. It was noted that housing and the cost of living are the two issues most frequently faced by employees and members. The President highlighted two new projects: community gardens and the return of the Avalanche de Jeux festival, the last edition of which was in 2012. He also mentioned the 25 sports and cultural activities offered by volunteers. Participants then engaged in a brainstorming session. For 15 minutes, they worked on ideas using three large sheets of paper, focusing on housing, the cost of living, and other topics related to the question, "For me, living well in Val d’Isère means…" The members then presented the activity report, outlining the various actions undertaken. Among the figures, the association currently has 4,360 members, 81% of whom are French, representing some sixty different nationalities.
