Local News

Following the shaping and safety work carried out by the teams, the OK track is already ready to host the first official downhill training sessions for the Women's Critérium. A first test was held yesterday to observe speed and jumps.

After the test, the first training session will be held today at 11am with an inspection of the track, then a second training session will take place tomorrow at 10:30am, under the real conditions of the downhill event.

CCAS Lottery

Bingo! The seniors of the CCAS (Community Social Action Centre) will participate in their grand lottery this afternoon. A friendly gathering where they can try to win numerous prizes offered by local businesses, including lunch for two at a restaurant. Good luck and cheer will be on the agenda for this super lottery dedicated to seniors at 2:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at the Maison Marcel Charvin.

Firefighters' Calendar

As the new year approaches, the Val d'Isère firefighters have released their brand new calendar. Following the "Naked" themed calendar, this one will celebrate major holidays that mark our daily lives, such as Epiphany in January, Saint Patrick's Day in March, and the Fête de la Musique (World Music Day) in June. The firefighters have already begun distributing the calendars in each pre-defined sector, a process that will continue until mid-January. The creation and production of the calendar took place well in advance, as firefighter Quentin explains.

Part of the donations collected during the calendar distribution will go to the "Oeuvre des Pupilles" association, which supports the orphans of firefighters who have lost a parent in the line of duty or off duty. The other part of the donations will go to the Firefighters' Association to improve their daily lives at the fire station.
