WEATHER

Another day of beautiful weather, although there may be some clouds coming in,
particularly on our border with Italy this the afternoon.

Generally warm but a chilly wind from the South/ South East at up to 40 km/hour.

At 9.30 the temperature is

  • -1° in the Village.
  • -3° on Solaise.
  • -5° on Bellevarde.
  • -9° on Pisaillas where it is already gusting around 50 kilometres per hour

The maximum temperature at 2000 metres will be +5°.

ROADS

No problems are expected on our roads today.

SKI REPORT

For the most up-to-date information please click here.
Here are the highlights of the ski report.

Nearly everything is both open and beautifully groomed.
Only 1 lift and 2 pistes will be closed all day.

ON BELLEVARDE
The upper parts of the OK and Orange, and the Raye
will be closed this morning for training
before opening for everyone.

If you like jumping, the Snow Park has a range of obstacles
to suit all skill levels.
Jumping onto a regular piste is not cool, and dangerous.

ON SOLAISE
The 3000 lift and piste are closed.
The S, Cugnai and Marmottons were not groomed.
For tourers -the Ecureuil track is never groomed.

LE FORNET
Everything is open except the Tunnel.
The Foret is never groomed.

ON PISAILLAS
Everything is open and groomed.

NURSERY SLOPE
Everything is open and groomed, including the tobogganing area.

The avalanche risk today is 1 out of 5.
Low risk but never no risk.
If you are heading off piste it is even more important to have a mountain guide with you today,
as they understand the current conditions.
The quality of the snow will depend on the exposure of the slope,
and the effect of the sun as it moves across our playground.
So from spring to winter snow and all grades of rock and roll in-between.
Look closely at your group…….Would they be any use if you were injured ?
Please check that they all have a beep, probe and shovel….
Are you sure they know how to use them ?
Following unknown tracks off piste is never a good idea.
Remember the tantalising tracks could have been left by someone with a parachute.

If you are going to Tignes, use either the Tommeuse or  Borsat chairlifts.

All of our walking, multi activity and cross country tracks are open,
But there is a possibility that they will prevent pedestrians going to the
Col de l’Iseran if they are worried the wind will stop the bubbles,
as then it would be a very long walk down.

We are big fans of you learning how to control your speed
in the safest possible conditions.
Tomorrow there will once again be a Super G on the Borsat.
No charge. Don’t need to book.
It is for anyone to enjoy, at any speed.
However fast, however slow.
