Impulsion Avaline

Last night, the third and final public meeting of the Impulsion Avaline list, headed by Patrick Martin, was held for the municipal elections. Around sixty people attended the meeting at the Henri Oreiller Convention Center to meet all the candidates, learn about the four main points of their platform, and discuss the list with them. Several topics were raised by the residents of Val d'Isère, including the property tax on second homes, parking, the rehabilitation of the Richardes district, the restoration of chapels, commitment to the common good, the time dedicated to the municipality as an elected official, who the deputy mayors will be and how the municipal council will be composed, whether a debate is planned with the opposing list, the future of Val d'Isère, the impact of having a female first deputy mayor instead of a male one, the signing of amendment number 12 to the public service delegation contract, the young instructors' vision for the future of skiing, and finally, pedestrian access to the Joseray area and the future of agriculture. The municipal elections will be held this Sunday in the Council Chamber at the Maison Marcel Charvin.

Municipal Election Candidate Questionnaire

A few days ago, we announced the opportunity to send your questions to the two candidates for the municipal elections: Xavier Mattis for Réveil Avalin and Patrick Martin for Impulsion Avaline. The questionnaire is now closed. Nearly 100 questions were submitted. Around twenty recurring questions were selected, forwarded to the two candidates, and will be asked in interviews with each of them individually. We will keep you informed about the broadcast of the interviews.

Clément Slalom

After the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, the World Cup resumed this weekend for Slalom in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. Clément Noël finished in 6th place, twelve hundredths of a second behind the Norwegian winner, Atle Lie McGrath. The skier from Val d'Isère expressed his frustration.

By a hundredth of a second behind the winner, Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen took second place on the podium, followed by Brazil's Lucas Pinheiro Braathen. Among the French skiers, Paco Rassat finished 9th, Auguste Aulnette 15th, followed by Antoine Azzolin and Victor Muffat-Jeandet in 17th. In the Slalom World Cup standings, Muffat-Jeandet finished 16th, while Clément Noël climbed to third place, 77 points behind the leader, Norway's Atle Lie McGrath.

Classicaval

After a highly successful first edition in January, the Classicaval festival returns this week to Val d'Isère. Classical music will take us on a journey through time, exploring the Romantic era, thanks to twelve talented musicians.

Before the official start of the festival, and as is tradition, a musical prelude is being held this evening by invitation only, offering an opportunity to meet the artists.

For this second installment, three concerts will be offered every evening at 6:30 p.m., from Tuesday to Thursday, in the Church of Saint-Bernard in Menthon.

Aqualeisure Centre Hours

Due to school swimming lessons, the hours of the aquatic center and wellness area will be modified from today until Friday, April 3. The swimming pool and wellness center will be open to the public from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Opening hours remain unchanged on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

-  Red Shuttle (La Daille - Le Fornet) every 10 minutes. After nightfall, departures from La Daille from 6:30 PM to 2:30 AM and from Le Fornet from 6:50 PM to 2:50 AM. A shuttle
every 20 minutes.
-  Blue Shuttle (Roundabout at the slopes – Legettaz): every 15 minutes from 8:30
a.m. to 11:20 p.m.
-  Yellow Shuttle (Le Coin – Le Manchet): first departure from Le Coin at 8:28 a.m. and last arrival at Le Manchet at 11:20 p.m. Shuttles run every 20 minutes.
-  Purple Shuttle (Val d’Isère – Tignes): first departure from the new bus station at
8:05 a.m. and last at 6:20 p.m. Two request stops are planned on this route,
including La Reculaz and Le Villaret du Nial.
