Mont-Blanc Student Presentation
Six students from the Université Savoie Mont-Blanc presented two studies conducted in our village yesterday morning to about twenty local stakeholders. The first workshop, led by the municipality and conducted by Alice, Lucas, and Sylvain, focused on developing summer and winter connections in the Bellevarde area. The students devised several restructuring scenarios to optimize the ski area, integrate a link with Tignes, and rethink summer activities to ensure overall coherence. Several scenarios were proposed, including a dry-access gondola lift to preserve the visual and technical characteristics of the La Daille gondola, as well as improving the pedestrian experience through the harmonization and expansion of signage, enhancing skier continuity by replacing certain lifts, and creating a connecting, diversified, and territorially coherent space for the Bellevarde sector, including Tovière. Led by the Vanoise National Park, Tiphaine, Paul, and Esten presented their workshop, which focused on winter tranquility and off-piste skiing through an analysis of visitor numbers in the areas surrounding the Val d'Isère and Tignes ski resorts. Several proposals were also made, including raising public awareness by introducing the concept of winter tranquility, prevention measures at ski resort entrances, preparation for the acceptance of quiet zones, reminders of the issues at stake and protected areas to avoid, and the physical marking and appearance of these zones. The students envisioned three quiet zones in the Vallon du Prariond and four in the Cugnaï area. A broader approach was also proposed, including the establishment of three sustainable coexistence laboratories, the development of the overall strategy with the integration of quiet zones into GPS applications, and finally, the long-term effectiveness of the awareness campaign regarding respect for winter tranquility. Each presentation was followed by a Q&A session with the audience. The presentations were applauded and very well received by local stakeholders.
Little Torches

In total, over €2,650 was raised for these charities.
