Weather
Snowclouds continue to be trapped over the mountains, while becoming less consistent as the hours pass. The sky, still heavily overcast this morning, will start breaking up in the afternoon, allowing sunshine to break through. The rain-snow line is around 400 meters. Additional snowfall is expected Friday morning up to 15 cm with strong winds at higher altitudes. Northwest wind, then stormy northerly, strengthening slightly during the afternoon. Often 40-60 km/h on the snow fronts, 70-80 km/h on the ridges.
Currently at 8am it is -18°C up at the Pisaillas, -15°C at the top of Bellevarde, -13 degrees up on solaise and -8°C here in town. Today will be a lot colder than what we have had recently with tops of -4°C in the village.
Roads
The roads are being actively cleared of snowfall. Roads still accessible but as a reminder it is essential you are equipped with chains or snow socks in the car in case of need.
