Clouds invaded a large part of the department overnight. At dawn, the clouds remained, During this morning, there may be a break in the cloud cover allowing some sunny spells here and there. This afternoon, a thick veil of clouds will gradually spread from Italy and, by the end of the day, will cover the entire department of savoie. Light winds of up to 20 km/h from the North.
Currently at 8am it is -10°C up at the Pisaillas, -7°C at the top of Bellevarde, -5 degrees up on solaise and -3°C here in town. We can expect much cooler temperatures with tops of 3°C in the village today.
Roads
The roads are clear of snow and ice.
For road traffic, some slowdowns are expected today, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., for those heading out of town. For those returning, traffic will be heavily disrupted this morning from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tomorrow, traffic will be smooth for those heading out of town, and some delays are possible for those returning at midday and in the late afternoon. This weekend in Haute-Tarentaise, 64,000 vehicles are expected heading uphill and 67,000 downhill.

Municipal Council
Yesterday morning, the inaugural meeting of the municipal council was held with 19 elected officials present . Patrick Chevallot, the most senior member of the council, addressed the agenda, deferring the minutes of the March 3rd council meeting to the next meeting on Friday, April 3rd. The newly elected official paid tribute to Gérard Mattis, a former council member. During the agenda, the new mayor and his five deputies were elected, and the council members voted in favor of the procedures for submitting lists of candidates for the election of members of the Tenders Committee and the Public Service Delegation Committee, as well as the request for the municipality to be reclassified as a higher-level population center. Items concerning the delegation of municipal council powers to the mayor and the pricing of construction site use of public space were postponed to the next meeting. Following the agenda, outgoing mayor Patrick Martin offered his assistance to the mayor and councilors regarding the 2030 Winter Olympics, a gesture appreciated by all the councilors. The new municipal council is therefore composed, in order, of Xavier Mattis, Mayor of Val d'Isère; Jean-Christophe Moris, First Deputy Mayor; Corinne Reversade, Second Deputy Mayor; Damien Rivollier, Third Deputy Mayor; Laura Bellagamba, Fourth Deputy Mayor; and Patrick Chevallot, Fifth Deputy Mayor. The councilors are Céline Moris, Manon Bonnevie, Julien Terrini, Gladys Goulley, Léo Taillefer, Léa Saurel, Christophe Vaquier, Audrey Mattis, and Christophe Vial-Pailler. The opposition members are outgoing mayor Patrick Martin, Véronique Pesenti-Gros, Fabien Hacquard, and Ingrid Tholmer. The full minutes of the town council meeting are available on our website. Occupancy
For this last week of March, the occupancy rate will reach 73%, an increase of 1.9 points compared to the same period last year. The number of overnight stays will reach 79,400, representing a 3.9% increase compared to last winter.
Loyalty Medal
Three new loyalty medals were awarded this week. Odile Chartier received the gold medal from Patrick Martin for her 42 years of loyalty. She comes winter and summer with her children and even grandchildren.
Christine Juvin Raymond received the gold medal for her 41 years of loyalty from her sponsor, Dr. Jean-Louis Delobelle. She first came to Val d'Isère for the wedding of a couple of friends.
Her husband, André Raymond, received the grand gold medal for his 55 years of loyalty from his sponsor, Dr. Jean-Louis Delobelle. Dr. Delobelle initially came to Val d'Isère for competition and also to work there.

a.m. to 11:20 p.m.
- Yellow Shuttle (Le Coin – Le Manchet): first departure from Le Coin at 8:28 a.m. and last arrival at Le Manchet at 11:20 p.m. Shuttles run every 20 minutes.
- Purple Shuttle (Val d’Isère – Tignes): first departure from the new bus station at
8:05 a.m. and last at 6:20 p.m. Two request stops are planned on this route,
including La Reculaz and Le Villaret du Nial.
