The spring weather continues, with sunny days on the horizon. Mild temperatures are expected to remain. The freezing level will be around 2100m. Light winds from the north. 

Currently at 8am it is  -10°C up at the Pisaillas, -6°C at the top of Bellevarde, -5 degrees up on solaise and -6°C here in town. Today we can expect a top of 4°C in the village.

Municipal Council

Following the municipal elections won by the Le Réveil Avalin list with 59.4% of the vote, a municipal council meeting will be held this morning at 8:30 a.m. to install the new council members and to formally acknowledge the minutes of the council meeting of Monday, March 2nd. Eight items will also be submitted for deliberation, including the election of the Mayor, determining the number of Deputy Mayors and their election, the delegation of authority from the municipal council to the Mayor, the procedures for submitting lists for the election of members of the Tenders Committee and the Public Service Delegation Committee, the request for the municipality to be reclassified as a higher population size, and the pricing of construction site use of public space. The meeting is open to the public and will be broadcast online on the town hall's YouTube channel. The municipal council meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. in the Council room at the Maison Marcel Charvin.

Signal Derby

The 15th edition of the Signal Derby was a great success under the spring sunshine. 99 participants competed in an off-piste race where the goal was to cross the finish line as quickly as possible. The course was marked by the Ski Patrol and volunteers to ensure the safety of the competitors. After 5 qualifying rounds, around thirty riders started the final run. In the men's skiing competition, Nicolas Villermoz won handily in under 3 minutes, followed by Martin and Léo Taillefer, and Tanguy Gaubert. In the women's competition, Marine Charles took first place, followed by Juliette Aulaynier and Adriana Laurie. In the men's snowboarding competition, Pat Lere won, followed by Loïc Lorcher and Pierrick Brun. In the women's snowboarding competition, Maïana Artie led the way, followed by Roxane and Amélie Selva. In classic cross-country skiing, Thibault Vataux took the victory in monoski, followed by Alexandre Barriat in skwal and Gabriel Coquet in monoski. Throughout the day, the "La Sauce" association offered various activities, including a community village, a foosball table, a raffle, a screen-printing stand for clothing, and a sound system provided by HolyMountainSound and local associations. The race was also broadcast live for the first time since its inception.

Avaline Trax

Ski touring enthusiasts participated in the grand finale of the Avaline Trax, organized by Le Club des Sports. Participants climbed 480 meters of elevation gain in the dead of night in the Daille forest before reaching the finish line at the festive mountain restaurant. In the men's race, Esteban Garcia won in 26 minutes and 55 seconds, followed by Jules Creuzet in 27 minutes and 5 seconds and Zac Violet in 28 minutes and 35 seconds. In the women's race, Perrine Abapie crossed the finish line in 32 minutes and 31 seconds. Corine Favre came in second with a time of 33 minutes and 5 seconds, and Jessica Martin finished third with a time of 35 minutes and 2 seconds. Finally, in the team competition, Robin and Léo took first place, followed by Denis and Lionel, and then Grégoire and Jérémy. This was the last Avaline Trax race of the season.

CCAS Cooking Workshop

Last night, Christine, a dietician and pharmacist in Val d’Isère, offered tips for eating balanced meals on a budget during a cooking workshop organized by the Community Social Action Centre. as part of its food access program in the resort. Eight people learned new recipes and tips for eating well and enjoying delicious meals without breaking the bank and using minimal equipment. Participants prepared lasagna made with plant-based protein, served with a salad, and finished with a pear Belle Hélène for dessert. The next workshop will be held in April.

every 20 minutes.
-  Blue Shuttle (Roundabout at the slopes – Legettaz): every 15 minutes from 8:30
a.m. to 11:20 p.m.
-  Yellow Shuttle (Le Coin – Le Manchet): first departure from Le Coin at 8:28 a.m. and last arrival at Le Manchet at 11:20 p.m. Shuttles run every 20 minutes.
-  Purple Shuttle (Val d’Isère – Tignes): first departure from the new bus station at
8:05 a.m. and last at 6:20 p.m. Two request stops are planned on this route,
including La Reculaz and Le Villaret du Nial.
