Simone Ville
Simone Ville, née Bonnevie, a member of one of Val d'Isère's prominent families, passed away on Friday, February 27th, at the Gassin hospital (see photo). She was the daughter of Joachim and Louise Bonnevie. She spent her early childhood in Paris with her twin sisters, Yvette and Jacqueline, as her father worked at the Quai des Orfèvres in the criminal investigation department. After retiring at the age of 44, Joachim Bonnevie moved with his family to Val d'Isère, where they settled permanently. Her father initially worked in his brother Marcel Bonnevie's grocery store before joining the Val d'Isère Town Hall in the 1950s, working alongside Dr. Frédéric Pétri. He later built the Hôtel Les Gentianes. At 20, Simone married Paul Raymond, and together they had one daughter, Dominique. A hotelier, like her parents, she spent almost her entire life in Val d’Isère, running the Hôtel L’Aiglon with her husband, Maurice Ville. While working, she divided her time between her hotel in Val d’Isère and her home in Ramatuelle. She and her husband, Maurice, had recently moved to their house in the Var region. A strong, friendly, and endearing personality, she will be deeply missed by all her loved ones. The funeral service will be held this Monday at 10:00 a.m., officiated by her cousin, Father Jean-Claude Bonnevie, at the Church of Saint-Bernard-de-Menton in Val d’Isère. Simone Ville will then be laid to rest in the cemetery next to her parents.

The audience will be able to hear a variety of talented and renowned musicians, including mezzo-soprano Delphine Haidan, Jean-Baptiste Souchon on viola, Anastasia Dewynter on piano, François Salque, Charbel Charbel, and Maïa Xifaras on cello, Pierre Genisson on clarinet, Mila Gafner on viola, as well as Svetlin Roussev and Chloé Roussev on violin. Cellist François Salque is delighted to return to perform original and complex works.

Classicaval Musical Prelude
Last night, the Classicaval festival's musical prelude took place in a hotel in the village center. Around fifty people were present to share a special moment of classical music with four artists from the second opus. The musicians played various pieces, some more familiar than others. A beautiful musical prelude, received with applause, to help everyone wait patiently for tonight's concert.
