News Cup

Julien Arnaud, Gilles Bouleau, David Pujadas, and Bernard De La Villardière are among the 21 journalists participating in the News Cup this weekend. They will arrive in our village in the early afternoon. Many national media outlets will be represented, including TF1, LCI, M6, BFM TV, France Télévisions, Sud Radio, Télé Magazine, and Les Échos. This year, the News Cup celebrates its 10th anniversary in Val d'Isère.

The first challenge will take place this evening, around 6:00 p.m., on the snow front. Participants will have to run as fast as possible on snowshoes to have a chance of winning. This sporting challenge will be followed by a small aperitif by the fire. Tomorrow, the long-awaited competition begins for some: the slalom at the Bonnevie stadium starting at 11:30 am.

Avaline Games

Val d'Isère offers a new challenge inspired by the Olympics and a popular Korean series: the Avaline Games. Compete against other players in a series of traditional children's games, sporting challenges, strategic games, and skill tests on the snow. A unique playing field and a first for the event, open to everyone and accessible from age 8. Parental supervision is required. Meet at 5:45 pm on the Savonnette slope.

Thirty-eight ski touring enthusiasts took on the Avaline Trax yesterday, organized by Le Club des Sports. Finally, in the team category, Les Mordus, Julien Bahlau and Robin Olivier, came out on top, followed by Team Pidlig, Germain Vincenot and Tom Lesuire, and the Vertacomicoriens, Adrien Ozanon and Adrien Verbrugghe. The next Avaline Trax will be held in two weeks, on Thursday, February 5th.
