Marmottes Chair Lift
The new gearbox for the Les Marmottes chairlift arrived yesterday. This 4-ton component was transported by two snow groomers to the Marmottes arrival station and then assembled on-site. The teams, accompanied by two Swiss technicians, will now perform the reverse operation: reinstalling the gearbox, adapting it to the electric motor, installing the braking system, and reconnecting all the other equipment that was removed. Following these operations, which are expected to take several days, a test campaign will be conducted to ensure the smooth operation and proper functioning of the lift. The opening date for the Les Marmottes chairlift is still unknown. We will keep you informed of any developments.
