Census
A reminder that the census in Val d'Isère began last Thursday. This allows us to better understand the population in order to adapt services such as schools, transportation, facilities, and housing. There are two ways to complete the census: online or on paper with the assistance of a census taker. All dwellings will be counted, whether they are primary, secondary, or occasional residences. Individuals whose primary residence is in the municipality are also included.
Business Tourism
January is a busy month for business tourism, with numerous conferences taking place, including ABC Win, currently hosting around 500 neuroradiology surgery professionals; Doctors Updates, with 500 to 600 British doctors expected from January 25th to 29th; and finally, the Winter Meetings at the end of January, bringing together 200 to 300 event management specialists. Historically, conferences have helped fill the resort during this quieter period of the winter season. However, in recent years, the January inter-holiday period has increasingly attracted leisure tourism, creating a challenge for hosting conferences:
Other national and international conferences focused on medicine and sports will be held throughout the winter at the Henri Oreiller Conference Centre.
