Classicaval Final Concert
Last night, a piano recital spanning one hundred years resonated in the church of Saint-Bernard in Menthon . 230 people were captivated by the talent of Franco-Japanese pianist Kojiro Okada as he performed masterpieces by Haydn, Brahms, and Liszt. The concert was a great success and ended with thunderous applause.
Classicaval Children's Concert
Yesterday morning in the church of Saint-Bernard in Menthon, over one hundred primary school children enjoyed a special moment with musicians Aurore and Olivier Doise from Classicaval. The kindergarten students learned how to prepare the oboe before playing, the construction of the oboe and violin, the structure of an orchestra, and the different emotions that musical instruments can convey. Enthusiastic, the children actively participated in a classical music quiz featuring the characters from Peter and the Wolf. The elementary school students also enjoyed a presentation on the oboe before learning about the importance of breath control. Through a short exercise, the children learned about continuous and circular breathing, as well as breath control. The oboist played them some famous excerpts, such as Swan Lake, The Magic Flute, and the fable of the Grasshopper and the Ant, to illustrate the importance of breath control. A wonderful musical morning that delighted the children.
Classicaval Students
For several years, Classicaval has highlighted the transmission and intergenerational exchange of talent with up-and-coming young musicians. These students have the opportunity to interact and perform with established artists, sharing unique experiences.
This year, two students, Paul Erdmann on viola and Ferréol Molle on double bass, were fortunate enough to share the stage with renowned musicians. A wonderful opportunity for a student.
Passing on knowledge and sharing between generations of musicians is an integral part of the Classicaval festival's DNA.
