Avalanche
Another avalanche occurred yesterday morning around 10:30 a.m. at the top of the Mont-Blanc chairlift, near the Tovière ridge and the Col de Fresse pass. Luckily, the skier escaped unharmed after being dragged several meters and losing his equipment. The man, who was wearing an airbag, was not injured. We remind everyone that the avalanche risk remains very high, at 4 on a scale of 5. The Ski Patrol and the Savoie Prefecture urge everyone to be extra vigilant when skiing off-piste and to be equipped with a probe, shovel, airbag, and avalanche transceiver (DVA) if skiing off-piste.
