On Monday afternoon, the Tommeuses chairlift had to be shut down due to an arrest by the Tignes gendarmerie. Tensions arose and tempers flared between two slightly intoxicated holidaymakers before escalating into a fight.The altercation stemmed from the first man attempting to cut in line at the Tommeuses chairlift around 4 p.m. Witnesses in the queue alerted the police, who arrived quickly at the top of the chairlift to arrest the two individuals. As a result, the STGM (Tignes-based lift company) had to close the line for nearly an hour. The victim, a Frenchman in his sixties, filed a complaint for the assault . The gendarmerie reminds everyone of the importance of being considerate, respectful, and courteous on the slopes.
On this last day of the year, Val d'Isère will celebrate the final hours with a DJ set on the snow front, at the bottom of the Face de Bellevarde. A festive and musical event awaits, featuring the exceptional presence of Lyon-based DJ and producer Étienne de Crécy, who will perform from 11 pm. The festivities will begin at 9 pm with a warm-up set by local artist Ousebite, followed by DJ Deal at 10pm. Performers The French Performance and Yack Stories will keep the energy high and the stage pumping until 11 pm. To celebrate the New Year, the traditional fireworks display will take place at midnight. Other fireworks displays will light up the sky, the first at 7:30 pm by Les Barmes de l'Ours and the second at 11:45 pm by Club Med. New Year's Eve access to the snow front will be free and open to all.
The Snowpark Contest is back! The snowpark team is organizing a competition on various features. Skiers and snowboarders can compete against other participants and try to win numerous prizes. The event starts at 11:00 AM. Registration is free and will take place today directly on site. Please note that helmets are strongly recommended for participation in the competition.
Holidaymakers were able to experience the thrill of Super-G skiing yesterday on the Borsat green run in the Bellevarde area. Participants had the opportunity to get a feel for the speed and enjoy themselves safely under the watchful eyes of the ski patrol. This first day was a great success, with 159 runs completed on the Super-G course. One of the ski instructors from the piste safety working group was on hand to count the runs at the bottom of the slope and chat with the participants. The next speed awareness session will take place on Tuesday, February 10th.
Last night, Stéphane Correas entertained and surprised the audience with his magic and mentalism show. 274 people were present at the Henri Oreiller Convention Center to enjoy and participate in this one-man show.

- Blue Shuttle (Roundabout at the slopes – Legettaz): every 15 minutes from 8:30
a.m. to 11:20 p.m.
- Yellow Shuttle (Le Coin – Le Manchet): departs Le Coin at 8:28 a.m. and arrives
at Le Manchet at 11:20 p.m. Shuttles run every 20 minutes.
- Purple Shuttle (Val d’Isère – Tignes): first departure from the new bus station at
7:55 a.m. and last at 6:20 p.m. Two request stops are planned on this route,
including La Reculaz and Le Villaret du Nial.
