The 70th Anniversary Criterium Weekend
This weekend marks the 70th anniversary of the Critérium de la Première. Since 1968, the Critérium has been an integral part of the World Cup calendar, featuring four events: the men's giant slalom and slalom, and the women's downhill. Each year, more than 25 nations are represented, with over 12,000 spectators and more than 550 people involved in the event. This year, 2025, was packed with anniversaries, including the 70th anniversary of the Critérium, the 90th anniversary of the club des sports, and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Olympic Champion Henri Oreiller. This edition is a testament to longevity, ambition, and a willingness to reinvent itself.

On the eve of the Giant Slalom race, the festivities begin today. From 5:45 p.m., the Avenue Olympique will be pedestrianized and lively with the Funky Brass band, DJ Loran, and the Alpina Dancer's.
