Weather

Expect plenty of sunshine today, with temperatures staying unusually high—more like what we’d typically see in June. . The freezing level has now gone up to 3500m. Winds will be light from the east.

Currently at 8am it is  2°C up at the Pisaillas, 7°C at the top of Bellevarde, 5 degrees up on solaise and 0°C here in town. Today we can expect a top of 2°C in the village.

Avoriaz Ski Patrollers

Ski patrollers from Avoriaz were in Val d'Isère over the past two days to meet and exchange ideas with the Val d'Isère Ski Patrol Management. Eight Avoriaz patrollers, a dispatcher, and the Deputy Director were present in Val d'Isère. The objective was to learn about the initiatives and training programs implemented regarding ski safety awareness, thanks to the presence of two instructors providing communication coaching. The patrollers were able to exchange ideas and discuss the first day before heading out onto the slopes on the second day.

Low Countries Championships

Following the Belgian Championships, it was the turn of the Luxembourg FIS race to offer a Giant Slalom event yesterday morning. In the men's race, Swiss skier Semyel Bissig took the victory in 1 minute and 57 seconds, followed by Italian Lorenzo Thomas Bini and Swiss skier Lenz Haechler. Tom Badey from Val d'Isère finished 56th overall. In the women's race, the podium was an all-French affair. Camille Cerutti took first place in 1 minute and 58 seconds, followed by Axelle Chevrier and Alizée Dahon. Lila Rivet, also from Val d'Isère, finished 32nd. The Low Countries Championships will continue throughout the week on the OK and Orange slopes.

Snowpark Contest

After a great event yesterday at noon, the Val d'Isère Snowpark returns this morning for its Snowpark Contest. Skiers and snowboarders can compete on various features and also test their skills against other participants for a chance to win numerous prizes. Helmets are strongly recommended. The competition will be followed by a barbecue. Registration is free and can be done on-site.

Senior Citizens' Meal

The annual meal for senior citizens organized by the CCAS (Social Action Center) has been postponed. Originally scheduled for this Sunday at Yule, the meal will now be held on Sunday, April 19th at noon at the Savoyarde restaurant. Seniors wishing to attend can register and obtain more information from the CCAS (Social Action Center). Registration is open until Friday.

-  Red Shuttle (La Daille - Le Fornet) every 10 minutes. After nightfall, departures from La Daille from 6:30 PM to 2:30 AM and from Le Fornet from 6:50 PM to 2:50 AM. A shuttle
every 20 minutes.
-  Blue Shuttle (Roundabout at the slopes – Legettaz): every 15 minutes from 8:30
a.m. to 11:20 p.m.
-  Yellow Shuttle (Le Coin – Le Manchet): first departure from Le Coin at 8:28 a.m. and last arrival at Le Manchet at 11:20 p.m. Shuttles run every 20 minutes.
-  Purple Shuttle (Val d’Isère – Tignes): first departure from the new bus station at
8:05 a.m. and last at 6:20 p.m. Two request stops are planned on this route,
including La Reculaz and Le Villaret du Nial.
