Weather
Beautiful weather with just a few clouds drifting in from Italy over the border mountains. There is again a risk of isolated showers, possibly thundery, in the late afternoon over higher ground.
Maximum temperatures will remain warm for this time of year.
A light breeze will blow in the valleys and a light northerly wind will prevail at higher elevations.
Currently at 8AM it is -3°C up at the Pisaillas, 2°C at the top of Bellevarde, 3 degrees up on solaise and 3°C here in town. Today we can expect a top of 13°C in the village.
Roads
Due to stabilization work on the RN 90 near La Plagne Tarentaise, alternating one-way traffic controlled by traffic lights will be in place on the downhill lane before the Praz-Valezan waste disposal site until the end of June. Traffic may be interrupted for a maximum of 10 minutes between 9:00 and 11:30 and between 14:00 and 16:00.
Waste Cleanup Day
This morning, the town invites local businesses and all residents of Val d'Isère to an end-of-season cleanup. Volunteers will meet at 8:00 a.m. in the Tourist Office Square for breakfast before heading out around 8:30 a.m. to collect waste in teams spread across different hamlets of Val d'Isère. The goal of this day is to bring people together, but above all, to raise awareness about environmental impact and make the village cleaner before the start of the off-season. Teams from the technical services and environmental services departments will also be present. Equipment, including gloves and bags, will be provided by the town.
Zipline Name
You only have a few days left to vote for the name of the new family experience offered by Val d'Isère Téléphériques. In 2027, and for the first time in France, the Olympique cable car will host a kind of extended zip line capable of carrying up to four people at a time down the slope, both summer and winter. Val d'Isère Cable Cars is inviting residents to contribute to its design by choosing a theme: The Bird, the flight of the Face, or The Line, the Face in a new light.
Residents of Val d'Isère will need to complete the survey available on the Val d'Isère Ski app. Survey participants will be entered into a draw to be among the first ten to try this new activity for free upon its launch.
CCAS Yoga
CCAS seniors are invited to the last yoga session. After the workout, a snack will be offered at the end of the session. The meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Maison de Val.
