Civil Wedding
They said "I do!" Caroline Marguet and Pierre Laffont were married yesterday afternoon in the Council Chamber at the Maison Marcel Charvin (see photo). The couple met on May 13, 2016, during the Pays Cathares trail race, thanks to their respective childhood friends: Aude, Caroline's friend since dental school in Bordeaux, and Julien, Pierre's friend since kindergarten in Val d'Isère. It was love at first sight. Caroline Marguet, a dental surgeon originally from Brive-La-Gaillarde, has known Val d'Isère since 2010. She fondly remembers the resort's closure in May 2017 and the wonderful moments shared with her friends at mountain restaurants, après-ski, over hot chocolate, and truffle fondue. Pierre Laffont, agency director and Val d'Isère native, fondly remembers his youth in Val d'Isère, describing it as a wonderful childhood spent with close friends from the Sports Club and the Bourg-Saint-Maurice middle school. We wish the newlyweds all the best.
