Weather

Beautiful weather with a few modest cumulus clouds still grazing the sky in the afternoon.  The freezing level is hovering around 3200 m. Winds at 3000 m: from the northwest of up to 20 km/h, then very light and variable.

Currently at 8AM it is  0°C up at the Pisaillas, 6°C at the top of Bellevarde, 4 degrees up on solaise and 0°C here in town. Today we can expect a top of 12°C in the village.

Roads

Due to stabilization work on the RN 90 near La Plagne Tarentaise, alternating one-way traffic controlled by traffic lights will be in place on the downhill lane before the Praz-Valezan waste disposal site until the end of June. Traffic may be interrupted for a maximum of 10 minutes between 9:00 and 11:30 and between 14:00 and 16:00.

Starting today, the road to Pont-Saint-Charles is once again open to traffic for vehicles and the red line shuttle buses. A shuttle will depart from Le Fornet at 10:00 AM and run until 3:00 PM, departing every 30 minutes until Sunday, May 3rd.

Legal Advice Sessions

Today marks the first legal advice session. The town has established this new, free, local service to facilitate access to legal information. The service is provided by Attorney Muridi. Open to all residents, this service will offer legal advice on various everyday issues, including family matters, neighborhood disputes, and employment law. Sessions will be held monthly, with the option of attending with or without an appointment. Those wishing to schedule an appointment can contact Attorney Muridi directly at permanence.juridique@valdisere.fr. The session will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM in the Vanoise Room at the Maison de Val.

Pro Mountain Race

Yesterday, the Pro Mountain Race, organized by the Val d'Isère Hotel, Restaurant, and Shopkeeper Association, was held. In the U8 boys' category, Eliott Trèves took first place, followed by Vladimir Auble and Ferdinand Bertin. In the U10 boys' category, Oscar Herrnberger climbed to the top of the podium, followed by Laszlo Vollant and Maxence Raux. For the girls, Victoire Wargny led the standings, followed by Philippine Gardella and Marie-Delia Roesh-Degoy. In the U12 category, Olympe Werl and Charly Vimont secured first place, followed by Camille Benoît and Alexandre Bardin, and Hortense De Bailliencourt and César Wargny. In the U14 category, Salomé Bourout Jacob and Elie Boutteau took first place, followed by Alia De Montvallier and Nolan Barthe in second, and Célia-Yadana Lefèvre and Joseph Vanhove in third. In the U16 category, Héloïse Odendhal and Ladislas Corpechot took the victory, followed by Charlotte Chilton and Augustin Bruyant, and Diane Malaveille and Victor Allot Rochefolle. In the U18 category, Malou Pernet and Benjamin Chilton triumphed over Charlotte Le Vely and Auguste d'Abbadie, and Mahaut De Ranieri and Octave Belloy.

Théâtre Vie Val d'Is

After a great success last night, the Vie Val d'Is theater workshop is performing its play "We Almost Played Shakespeare" again tonight. As a reminder, this play features a small Parisian theater company that travels to the provinces to perform William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." Just as the audience is seated and the show is about to begin, the curtain gets stuck. This is only the beginning of the troupe's troubles. The audience will be left wondering if the actors will manage to complete the play. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the show starting at 8:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available. The event will be held at the Henri Oreiller Congress Center. A minimum donation of two euros is requested.

Seasonal Worker Questionnaire

Last day to complete the questionnaire for seasonal workers and their employers. To better understand the realities of seasonal work, the municipality is conducting a study on seasonal employment needs. Therefore, this winter, a questionnaire has been launched for seasonal workers and their employers, focusing particularly on living and housing conditions in the resort. This survey consists of 14 questions in French and English and is available online on the town hall website or in paper form at the town hall and the Tourist Office.

Transports

-  Red Shuttle (La Daille - Le Fornet) every 10 minutes. After nightfall, departures from La Daille from 6:30 PM to 2:30 AM and from Le Fornet from 6:50 PM to 2:50 AM. A shuttle
every 20 minutes.
-  Blue Shuttle (Roundabout at the slopes – Legettaz): every 15 minutes from 8:30
a.m. to 11:20 p.m.
-  Yellow Shuttle (Le Coin – Le Manchet): first departure from Le Coin at 8:28 a.m. and last arrival at Le Manchet at 11:20 p.m. Shuttles run every 20 minutes.
-  Purple Shuttle (Val d’Isère – Tignes): first departure from the new bus station at
8:05 a.m. and last at 6:20 p.m. Two request stops are planned on this route,
including La Reculaz and Le Villaret du Nial.
