Local News

Civil Wedding of Pauline and Victor

They said "I do!" Pauline Alves De Amorim and Victor Klein were married yesterday morning in the Council Chamber at the Maison Marcel Charvin. The couple has known each other for over 10 years. Pauline Alves de Amorim, originally from Oyonnax and a product manager, reminisces about her first weekend with her husband in Val d'Isère in January 2016, as well as their games of checkers at the Cinq Frères ski club after a day on the slopes. Her favorite run is Grand Pré, even though her husband often takes her to Legettaz. After 10 years of skiing in Val d'Isère, Pauline is still not a fan of the Face run. Her husband, Victor Klein, has known Val d'Isère since he was 5 years old and was an instructor at the ESF (French Ski School) in Val d'Isère. Originally from Strasbourg and a consultant, his fondest memory will always be the weekend of January 26, 2016, when he introduced his wife to the village. Everything was perfectly aligned for the couple: the glorious weather, their first turns together on the slopes, his training at Legettaz for his instructor certification, and also the evening spent with friends at Marie's, enjoying crêpes and cider. The couple remembers how difficult the goodbyes on the train platform were and how their union was meant to be. We wish the newlyweds all the happiness in the world.

Civil Wedding of Apolline and Jordan

They also said "I do!" Apolline Belland and Jordan Boissé were married yesterday at noon in the Council Chamber at the Maison Marcel Charvin. The couple met in 2020 in Lyon during the lockdown. They initially connected via social media before realizing how much they cared for each other over time. Originally from Senlis and a Doctor of Pharmacy at the Solaise pharmacy, Apolline Belland has known Val d'Isère since birth. She fondly remembers many family memories from her younger years, as well as the last few years with her husband and her wedding, which will become one of her most cherished moments in the village. Her husband, Jordan Boissé, has known Val d'Isère since 2021. Originally from Tours and a banker, his best memory is his first time skiing the Face de Bellevarde. We wish the newlyweds all the happiness in the world.
